Reverence Week

We started the new year with Reverence Week in school, where we enjoyed taking some time to reflect on some of the Parables that Jesus told as part of his teaching. The children learnt that these simple stories were drawn from everyday life: family, nature and farming. They were used by Jesus to teach complex ideas about love, moral principles and God's kingdom in a way that could be easily understood by all who heard them. We have enjoyed taking part in lots of fun activities while exploring different parables.

Our focus parables have been The Lost Sheep, The Good Samaritan, The Sower and the Seeds and The Wise and Foolish Builders. Each class has had the opportunity to spend some time reflecting on various themes: love, compassion, what influences help us grow into the best versions of ourselves and the importance of building our lives on strong, positive foundations. Activities have included a fabulous sheep hunt, drama activities, seed planting and tower building. It has been a great week.

Each class has produced a beautiful display showing their work from one of their parable studies. The school is looking wonderful.
